  Literally “to take under consideration.” Means to consider, take into account, or factor something in when making a decision. One of the most common and useful phrases in everyday Polish.

  'Pod uwagę' uses the accusative after 'pod' indicating direction/purpose. 'Uwagę' is accusative of 'uwaga.' The phrase is used with a direct object: 'brać coś pod uwagę' (to take something into account).
